About / Trevor Kist

Curious by nature.A builder at heart.

I’m Trevor. I taught myself to build real systems and software by making things I wanted to exist. That curiosity still drives me, from the tools I build at work to the apps, games, and experiments I make on nights and weekends.

AI Enablement Lead at Higharc

Ferndale, WA

The short version

I spent seven years at EasyPay Finance moving from marketing coordinator to technical project manager. The title changed because the work did: campaigns became systems, spreadsheets became products, and the tools I built started shaping how the company operated.

Today I lead AI enablement at Higharc, bringing together hands-on development, technical delivery, and a practical understanding of how teams work. Outside work, I ship App Store products, client platforms, browser experiments, and narrative games.

012019 / The beginning

Where it started

I studied Business and Management Information Systems at Cal State San Marcos and joined EasyPay Finance in 2019 as a marketing coordinator. The job was email campaigns for 25,000 subscribers and collateral for 5,000 merchant partners. The part I liked was the part nobody asked for: building the templates, the trackers, and the little tools that made the work go faster.

That habit became the career. I taught myself to build real systems and software by making things I needed, and I kept building on nights and weekends until one of them shipped. FORGE, a habits and fitness app, went live on the App Store before I had written a line of code professionally.

022020–2026 / Building the systems

EasyPay Finance

As marketing manager I grew web traffic 40% and automated email for 50,000 contacts, and then I started writing software for the company. EasyPay University, a gamified training platform that cut merchant onboarding time. DataValidator, a SaaS app on the Google Places API that validated and enriched 10,000 CRM records. The first internal apps prototyped with Claude Code.

In 2025 I moved to technical project manager and led the engineering team: requirements, Jira, standups, delivery. I built Finley, an executive dashboard that replaced nine separate reports with one daily view, and authored the Enterprise Analytics Center data dictionary across 807 raw fields. I shipped internal AI tools on the Anthropic API that leadership used every day, including New Hire Navigator, a Claude Project for onboarding.

Higharc

By the time I joined Higharc as AI Enablement Lead in July 2026, I had built internal AI tools people used every day, shipped products of my own, and led cross-functional engineering delivery. I could move between understanding a business problem, writing the software, and helping a team put it to work. That combination is what I brought to the role.

At Higharc, the homebuilding AI company, I apply those skills across the organization: find where AI can improve the work, build the supporting tools and workflows, and help teams adopt them. The goal is practical: make the technology useful in the work people do every day.

Kist Digital

Something worth building?

I take on a few freelance projects a year through Kist Digital. Recent work includes a soccer club booking platform, a NASCAR pool, and a private 13-agent office that turns lead research into proposals I can review. If you have something small and specific, say hello.
