The starting point
Scott ran a NASCAR pool on spreadsheets: 102 players, 18 races, pick one car per race, never the same car twice, lowest total finishing position wins. Every week meant chasing picks and hand-scoring results.
What I built
RACEDAY runs the pool. React, Vite, and Tailwind on Netlify with Supabase underneath: magic-link and Google sign-in, row-level security so nobody sees your future picks, and database-level rules that make a duplicate car or a second pick for the same race impossible. Standings, a driver garage, and a My Entry page. It tracks who has paid but never touches money.
Where it landed
Live for the second half of the 2026 season, with 38 cars and a $2,040 prize pool tracked to the cent. Weekly results email through Resend is next.
